I'm currently at the Whimsy Workshop Weekend in Florida. To celebrate this weekend, Whimsy has released an extra, well, release! I have a couple of cards to share, so I'll just get right on with that!

Little Lion

Hiya :)

We've been out on the sledge all morning so I think a significantly large hot choklit is now in order! With cream. And marshmallows. Ok, I might have eaten all the marshmallows already...

Anyway. I thought I'd share a little something I made the other day. It might just be class prep, but then again, it might not ;) I've used a fab dies from the new Whimsy Stamps Release. It's from a set called Envelope Edgers. They might just feature quite a lot in upcoming makes.

Hello :)

Well, I must admit I seem to have 'lost' a few days! The Bank Holiday threw me out last week. The weekend whizzed by in a blur of hard work, but the most amazing fun with Dies to Die For. And now I'm not sure what day it is or what I should be doing. I think I'll write a list. Lists are always the answer at times such as this ;)  

In the meantime, I thought I'd share this card I made for fun! Yup. No reason other than I felt like it. I used this image recently for a class, and it was nice to colour the whole image, rather than just the part we were learning about.

Snowman Present

Morning :)

 

Today, I'm sharing a card I made for the Colouring Snow Class I taught at the last Dies To Die For Craft Event in Surrey. We were discussing snow. Lol, obviously! It can be really easy to reach for the same Copics when we want to colour something. For example, my go to colour blend for snow is C0, C1 and C3. That's the three markers I reach for, without really thinking about it. Until I thought about it! In our class we played with other combinations for snow, but ironically, the sample I am sharing today is with my old time favourite. 

I coloured the image with these colours to match the Whimsy Stamps Winter Wishes Paper Pad, but when I came to make the card, I felt there was too much going on, so I went for a very clean and simple card. 

Anyway, I promise the next time I colour snow, I won't automatically reach for my favourite. Maybe I'll get a new favourite. You'll have to keep an eye on me, won't you?!

I'm here! I'm back. Phew. I'm enjoying just sitting in my office today. Ok, so I've been frantically playing catch up, but, I'm in one place and I finished a whole cup of tea. Before it went cold. I know, rock 'n' roll Baby! 

Thought I'd pop in and share one of the cards I made for my Copic Classes at the Dies To Dies For Craft Event, using a stamp from the latest Whimsy Release. I thought it'd be perfect for a smooshy, dark, winter sky.

Dies To Die For and Me Craft Event

 Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October: Dies to Die For and Me Craft Event!

Join us in Surrey for a weekend of Colouring and Shopping Fun. Dies To Die For will be providing a shop full of goodies and I will be teaching on both days...

Shop Opening Hours:
Saturday 10am - 4.30pm
Sunday 10am - 1.30pm

Class Details:

Saturday 9.30am - 1.00pm; Copic Colouring One (previously ECCP Basic)
Cost - £45 per person
 You can find more information on the topics covered in the ECCP Basic Class here. I will update this information as soon as I return from Copic HQ in October, but the new class is very similar.

Saturday 1.30pm - 2.30pm; Colouring Snow Class
Cost - £10 per person

Saturday 2.45pm - 3.45pm; Colouring Fur Class
Cost - £10 per person

Saturday 4.00pm - 5.00pm; Colouring Winter Skies Class
Cost - £10 per person

All Saturday Classes will be at a basic level, but we will pack in as much as possible.

Sunday 9.30am - 1.30pm; Copic Colouring Two (previously ECCP Advanced)
Cost - £45 per person

All classes include a DTDF Goody Bag (one per person).

The number of spaces in each class will be limited to ensure that everyone gets one to one attention. You can sign up for as many classes as you like, but space will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

These classes are filling up faster than we expected, so please register as soon as you can.

There will be sandwiches, cake and drinks available throughout the weekend.

If you are travelling there are plenty of local hotels and if you are bringing family there are venues such as Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Hampton Court Palace, River Thames, Family Golf Course and a shopping centre all within a short drive of the venue.
