Ha Friday! You have not snuckered up and surprised me at lunchtime this week! I can't say I'm setting a precedent, but, it's a victory for today at least. So. Stamping Bella. Happy Days Poppy Wryn

Hey Peeps :)

Have I mentioned Girls from Tiddly Inks? I'm sure I must have! ;) This is Poppy Wryn. I love poppies, they are one of my favourite flowers, so she had to go in my Card Journal. Rather handy actually, as the new Challenge at Tiddly Inks is Scrap It. I don't Scrap, Pocket or any of those things. And much as I love proper 'grown up' Art Journals, the idea of doing one of my own terrifies me. So. Card Journal it is then.

The truth about apples...

Ok. I've got something to tell you. No. It's not, Very Understanding Hubby has spotted the large patch of blue carpet. Ssssssh. Remember.

First up. New Make it Crafty Clean and Simple Challenge... Masking. There are so many ways you could go with this one. Just check out the Challenge Post, I think the whole Design Team did something different. I printed Kimberly and then masked her, before airbrushing and splatting the background. Simples.

And now for the groundbreaking news. The truth about apples...

Whenever you eat one, you are always thinking about the cake.

Whimsy Release Teddy Best Friends

Alrighty then, time for the January Release from Whimsy Stamps, and my goodness, it's full of gorgeousness :)

This chap is sooooooooooooo adorable I had to colour up all three bears in the Teddy BestFriends Set. I'll share the other two later in the week. I coloured the background with Copic Re-Inkers and a Water Brush filled with Colourless Blender on Watercolour card (Daler Rowney Langton Hot Pressed) and added a few details with Markers. I think I may play with this technique again now I've got the hang of it!

Although this is not the first project I've posted this year, it was the first time I picked up my Copics in a few weeks, so I thought I'd ease myself in gently with this squeeeeeeeworthy Puppy, (OMG, I could just scrunge him and scrunge him and scrunge him!) and make something for my Copic Marker Europe Inspiration and Dies To Dies For Inspiration Posts.

I was testing some cream card for this creation and I was pleased with how well the card 'worked' with the Markers. So much so, I made a page for him to go and live in my Card Journal. Sorted!

Snail Mail

Morning :)

Snail Mail. Remember that? Back in the old days, before e-mail and texts. You'd send someone a letter. And then maybe a week or so later they'd reply. And maybe a week or so after that you'd reply. Snail Mail Wryn, aside from being completely gorgeous, is a cute visual of a slower paced time, and reminds me of childhood pen pals around the world. Of course now you can chat to anyone, anywhere, anytime, at the touch of a button, but I  miss those days too.

Summer Flower Maiden

  So, the first of June. Already. By jove this year is a zooming by. But, the first Monday in the month means a new Challenge over at Without Words... Summer Holiday. Luuurverly. Admittedly, I had Summer in my head when I made this, rather than Summer Holiday, but sssssh, I think I got away with it.

I have some Gelatos which have been begging to be played with, so, I did the sunset with them. It's fair to say there are quite a few sunsets in the bin, and my finger was tingling by the time I finished! Who needs a brush when you can rub away a few layers of skin in the name of art?!
