Why is the sun blue?

Morning Peeps!

It's an exciting day today for the girls at Rainbow Studios. They've been a bit quiet the last few weeks or so, as they've been busy (so busy, even tea and biscuits have been ignored.) in the back office organising a spangly new website, which is being un-veiled today. You really must take a look, Rachel and Angela have worked so hard to get to this point.

To celebrate the new look and the launch of the gorgeous Nautical Range of stamps, (which I've been lucky enough to preview for the past few weeks) The Rainbows are offering a whopping 20% off any purchases from The Rainbow Studios Store. Just enter rarsb001 for your discount, but hurry, as this code is only valid until midnight on 31 July 2011!

So, why is the sun blue? Was that Sweet Cheeks? No, it was Very Understanding Hubby, who was questioning my Artistic Interpretation of a monotone image! ;)

One of the first cards I made, way back when, used the technique where you stamp your image in a dye based ink, then use a water brush to pull the ink in to colour the image. I really enjoy this technique and haven't done it for literally, years. I swooshed a bit of extra ink on this one and look at my clouds! I'm so pleased with how they turned out. A make up sponge and a bit of dabberage!

I'm going to enter this card at:
