Always trust your gut instinct...

Morning Fluffers!

Hope you all had a fab weekend and enjoyed some of the sunshine. Spring is coming, at last! You'll be pleased to know I have shifted the washing mountain from our holiday and not only that, I also spent some time in the Bat Cave getting things sorted and organised, so now everything is just where I want it. I had planned to get in there and play last night, but I got distracted by a Jason Statham (the next Mr Fluffie) film and dribble doesn't mix well with crafting! ;)

I'm a little disappointed with how this card turned out. It was much better in my head. (As are a lot of my brilliant ideas actually!) I'm always a little nervous of giving cards to celebrate pregnancy. Pregnancy is a wonderful thing, but also very fragile. And although I did make this card for someone, I'm so glad I held off giving it to her...

I've used the current Sketch from Sketch n Stash (you still have a week to join in with that one.) and tied it in with Delphine's Monochromatic Theme at Cupcake. I struggle with purple shades. I also struggle with monochromatic. But for some reason, whenever I need to make one, I always choose purple! Duh! We are lucky enough to have two sponsors for this challenge at Cupcake; Prairie Fairy Designs and Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn. Not only are Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn sponsoring us, but they are also generously offering a 10% discount code (CUPCAKEBLOG) for Cupcake readers, valid for the duration of this challenge. And of course, our Icing on the Cupcake sponsor for March is Wild Rose Studios.

Thank you all so much for the absolutely beautiful cards you sent last week. I took some away with me, but more arrived while we were on holiday, it was a bit like having two birthdays. The best bit was, as there was so much post when we got home, I was able to smuggle some completely illegal stash through baggage control! Wooooooooohoooooo!

And finally, the winner of the lovely Rainbow Studios stamp is:

Tip Top

Ruth, I will forward your details to the girls at Rainbow and arrange for you to receive your prize.

Well, I think that's more than enough waffle from me for one post! You've seen my card, be sure to pop over to Cupcake and see the fantastic creations from The Cupcakes and don't forget there is still time to enter the DT Call over there...

Hi Faye,
I love this card, it's very nice (I'm in love with purple for the moment :) )
As I don't have a crafting-room I had the 'great' idea to take all my stash out on the table to sort it out a little bit, when my hubby came in he looked at it and said 'there's a lot of money on this table', I looked very hard but couldn't find all that money though! LOL
Have a wonderfull week !

Like a lot of other readers, I tend to avoid pregnancy cards, you're right, pregnancy is such a fragile time for any mum-to-be although it should be a very happy time and ought to be celebrated!
It's a beautiful card though, I love love love those buttons!!! Yummy!!

You're welcome any time my love!!! xx

The card is adorable and would be a delight to an expectant mom. You are correct in that sometimes the pregnancies don't make it. But save the card. You'll find someone to send it to. If not, just send it as a birthday card. I don't think many people would notice the "roundness" of the image, if the emphasis was on the Happy Birthday part.
