Always trust your gut instinct...

Morning Fluffers!

Hope you all had a fab weekend and enjoyed some of the sunshine. Spring is coming, at last! You'll be pleased to know I have shifted the washing mountain from our holiday and not only that, I also spent some time in the Bat Cave getting things sorted and organised, so now everything is just where I want it. I had planned to get in there and play last night, but I got distracted by a Jason Statham (the next Mr Fluffie) film and dribble doesn't mix well with crafting! ;)

I'm a little disappointed with how this card turned out. It was much better in my head. (As are a lot of my brilliant ideas actually!) I'm always a little nervous of giving cards to celebrate pregnancy. Pregnancy is a wonderful thing, but also very fragile. And although I did make this card for someone, I'm so glad I held off giving it to her...

I've used the current Sketch from Sketch n Stash (you still have a week to join in with that one.) and tied it in with Delphine's Monochromatic Theme at Cupcake. I struggle with purple shades. I also struggle with monochromatic. But for some reason, whenever I need to make one, I always choose purple! Duh! We are lucky enough to have two sponsors for this challenge at Cupcake; Prairie Fairy Designs and Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn. Not only are Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn sponsoring us, but they are also generously offering a 10% discount code (CUPCAKEBLOG) for Cupcake readers, valid for the duration of this challenge. And of course, our Icing on the Cupcake sponsor for March is Wild Rose Studios.

Thank you all so much for the absolutely beautiful cards you sent last week. I took some away with me, but more arrived while we were on holiday, it was a bit like having two birthdays. The best bit was, as there was so much post when we got home, I was able to smuggle some completely illegal stash through baggage control! Wooooooooohoooooo!

And finally, the winner of the lovely Rainbow Studios stamp is:

Tip Top

Ruth, I will forward your details to the girls at Rainbow and arrange for you to receive your prize.

Well, I think that's more than enough waffle from me for one post! You've seen my card, be sure to pop over to Cupcake and see the fantastic creations from The Cupcakes and don't forget there is still time to enter the DT Call over there...

Come fly with me

This post is a stickie and will stay here until the end of the week, please scroll down for new posts!

Come fly, come fly away...

Morning my Lovelies and welcome to another Monday. I cannot believe it's been two weeks since I last posted a
Sketch n Stash card! Where did that go? Sweet Cheek's social life has a lot to answer for! Oh, wait till you hear this little Sweet Cheeks story.

We've taken the sides off Sweet Cheeks cot and made it into a proper little boys bed. (Noooooooooooooooooooooo, he's my delish little baby, give him back!) He's been really good with it and stays in there all the time, I am sooooo proud.

Anyway, at bedtime, Sweet Cheeks says good night and gives me a cuddle, a kiss and goes off with Very Understanding Hubby to get ready for bed. One evening, Sweet Cheeks didn't want to say good night and give me a cuddle. I didn't force the issue, just said 'Bye Bye, see you tomorrow' and off he went with Daddy.

About ten minutes after Sweet Cheeks had gone to bed, there was a little noise on the stairs. Sweet Cheeks came down to say sorry to me for not saying good night. He gave me a cuddle, a kiss and took himself back off to bed. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! He did that all on his own. :)

Well, onto business!

This is Sue's rather gorgeous sketch for the new challenge at Sketch n Stash. This time we are sponsored by Whimsy Stamps, so if you want a chance to win some of their lovely images, you've got a whole two weeks to play along. You can rotate the sketch if you want to, just don't forget to tell us what new or old stash you've used.

My new old stash, is this stamp I won in some candy from
Fi last year, but it's the first time I've used it! Naughty me. But it is perfect for La Chic's brilliant challenge over at Cupcake this week, which is Up in the Air with Optional Green (as a St Patricks Day nod). I had intended to make a green hot air balloon, but I went off on a bit of a turquoise tangent! This week we are sponsored by Digi Doodle Shop and our monthly sponsor is Wild Rose Studio.

Well, you've seen my card, why not pop over to
Sketch n Stash and Cupcake and see the wonderful cards the DT's have made.

We have a DT Call over at Cupcake at the moment:

Would you like to join Cupcake Craft Challenges? We're looking to expand our Design Team, so, if you fancy being a Cupcake and can commit to:

Creating a new project each week
Commenting on all entrants allocated to you
Suggesting Challenges and picking a Top Five when it's your week
Having a giggle! ;)

Then we'd like to hear from you!
Please e-mail Cupcake three samples of your work, along with a link to your blog.

This DT Call will run until 12 Noon, GMT on Wednesday 23 March. Good Luck!

And finally, as it's my birthday this week, the lovely girls at
Rainbow Studios have given me (thanks Girls!) this lovely stamp to give away:

If you would like a chance to win it, all you need to do is become a follower here and at the Rainbow Studios Blog (if you're not already.) then add your name to Mr Linky. This draw will close when I return from holiday on Friday evening! Rachel and Angela also have Candy at the Rainbow Studios Blog, but if you can't wait till then, pop over to the Rainbow Studios shop, which is crammed with cuties!

Phew, I think that's it for now, have a great day...
