Morning Fluffers!
Saturday morning of course means time for a fabby new Challenge over at Sweet Stampin and this week, we have one of Jo's brilliant Sketches!
We have two new sponsors this week too. We are joined for the very first time by My Mum's Craft Shop and we have some new releases from Pollycraft up for grabs.
I made this card when we were still in Norfolk, which seems like a lifetime ago already. I can't remember what I was thinking about when I made this. Probably something to do with packing! I know I really wanted to do something with bright colours, because much as I love them, I find it really hard to watercolour with them and I wanted to push myself! LOL.
When we moved to Derby, there was a night between houses where we needed to stay in a hotel. Sweet Cheeks of course loved the excitement of it all, and apart from the broken central heating being stuck on sub tropical (and you know how much I feel the cold. I think I drank about 5 litres of water!) the night passed un-eventfully.
After breakfast, when Sweet Cheeks tried to get into the kitchen, the bar and nearly had the waitress eloping with him, it was time to go. Sweet Cheeks likes lifts. Not as much as escalators; we can lose twenty minutes just going round in circles, up and down, up and down on those!
Anyway, in the lift we went. When suddenly an alarm went off. Not a quiet alarm. But one of those alarms you can hear throughout a building. Like a smoke alarm. Oh dear, me thinks. It's a bit early for an alarm to be going off like that, people won't be happy. I hope they find out where the fire is.
I look down to see what Sweet Cheeks is doing to find my very own fire starter with his finger on the big, yellow, only push in case of emergency panic buttons. Somewhere between our very high floor and the ground floor, someone deactivated the very noisy alarm, but we got some very stern looks from reception!
Right, that's it from FayeWorld this morning! You've seen my card, pop over to Sweet Stampin and see what The Sweeties have made...
Morning Peeps!
Yesterday, I tidied my desk. It looks lovely. I can't find anything, but it looks lovely. You will know how untidy it was if you imagine double what was on it, from the picture last week. What prompted this uncharacteristic brutalisation of my craft area?
The day before, Very Understanding Hubby asked if he could use my desk. No problem. However, I did evict him temporarily so I could make a card. When he finally got on it, he flounced off after about twenty minutes saying he couldn't work in 'this'! 'This' being my creativity!
Last week, The Doc was left doubting my parentage after photographic evidence (previously mentioned desk photo) of my Obsessive OCD rebellion. He would have taken a DNA test, but he has Anger Management Issues and therefore isn't allowed.
My snug has turned into something of a Bermuda Triangle. Weird things happen in there. There is some kind of time anomaly, which affects my watch and means it's actually way past stoopid o'clock without me knowing. E31 is still Lost in Action. Along with a roll of cellotape, six felt hearts and two packets of extra large heart pins. It would have been one packet, but I've also now lost the packet I bought to replace the packet I lost. On the plus side, I found a bathroom...
But it wasn't any of these things that caused my Manic Hyper Tidy. No.
When we moved to Norfolk, I didn't really unpack my stash (well apart from the mountain previously dumped on the desk) as we had an idea another move would happen and when it did, it would happen quickly. Yesterday, it dawned on me if I tidied the Snug, it wouldn't take so long to pack, which means I can leave it out for longer, play for longer and therefore increase my (questionable) sanity for longer before we move again. See? No flies on me, baby! ;)
Over at Sweet Stampin, we have a brilliant challenge; Spring Flowers, which has been chosen by our Guest Designer, Yvonne. Pop over and take a look at the cards The Sweeties have made and then get playing as you could be in with a chance of winning goodies from Ladybug Crafts Ink and Quixotic Paperie.
Right, I'd better get going, I've decided it's my duty to empty the freezer of ice cream so I can defrost it. Hard life innit?!
