Winter's coming...

It's me, for the second time today!

I always feel like summer is coming to an end when we hit August Bank Holiday. (Although this year I'm wondering if it started yet!) But I've been feeling it a bit more this weekend. X Factor has started and it feels like the countdown to the 'C' Word has begun. Bah! Humbug! (My local Tesco's has a tree, albeit un-decorated, but it's a tree, nonetheless, outside.) And on Friday, I got one of my chills. I get this a lot in the winter, I get cold and it doesn't matter what I do, I just can't get warm again. Jumpers, hot shower, tea, food, bed, nothing works. Yep, winter is coming.

So with the imminent arrival of winter, I wanted to make something bright and summery for my Pollycraft/ Sketch n Stash Card. I've used Swings and Slides - Swinging Friends from Pollycraft. Isn't she cute?! I've been admiring Amanda's cards for months now. She has an eye for colours and putting different patterns together. And you know, I think I might try this again!

This week, at Pollycraft, Jane would like us to Use Felt. I've been wanting to have a go at felt flowers for about as long as I've been meaning to decorate my Pencil Pot, (it's in the post downstairs!) as I had some rather scrummy felt from Sew Sweet sitting on my desk, just waiting to be used.

I think I should've made these leaves a bit smaller, Very Understanding Hubby says not, but I keep looking at them. Anyway, hop over to Pollycraft for all the details about the prize provided by The Crimson Cloud and to see the inspiration from the rest of The Girls.

Oooh, nearly forgot! The winner of my Rockin' New Release Lil Monster Digi from Pollycraft is... Lynn. Yay! Pop me an e-mail Lynn and I'll get your Image over to you. :)

Over at Sketch n Stash, Julie has created this fab Sketch for us to play with. All you have to do for a chance to win some Kenny K Images, is to use the sketch (we don't mind what you do with it, so long as we can recognise the basic sketch) and tell us what your new and/ or old stash is. I've had the leaves, papers and velvet ribbon for a while. The Rolled Flower Die is quite recent, as is the felt to make them. :) If you pop over to Sketch n Stash, you'll be able to see the creations from the rest of The DT.

If you're looking for Cupcake, it's under this one. Otherwise, I'll see you in a few days. Have a great day...
