Toad-ally Awesome

Hi Everyone :)

I love the cute effect paper piecing gives a project, but sometimes an image can look a little unfinished and flat when you see parts of it coloured with beautiful shading and then a paper pieced part without.

Don't be afraid to add a little shading to your paper piecing too. Remember this paper is different to the paper you colour on normally, the fibres are probably looser, meaning the ink will spread more easily, but, if you know that and take this into account when laying down your colour, (be gentle, lay the ink with a light touch and don't go right up to the line) you are good to go.

I've written a Step by Step, if you need it.

And when you've done your shading on your paper piecing, be sure to enter it into the Challenge in the COPIC UK Facebook Group :)
