Bright Brietta

Hi Everyone :)

Oh, have you seen the new Fairy Butterfly Images from Make it Crafty, have you, have you, have you? They are sooooo gorgeous. I just had to colour Fairy Butterfly Brietta for our new Make it Clean and Simple Challenge, which is Bright Colours.

Now, bright colours are not a problem for me, but choosing colours without using a backing paper as guidance, is. I have a rubbish eye for what colours go together. (I'm forever running up to Very Understanding Hubby and asking if this top, goes with that bottom. In fact, I often stick a half coloured image, with a wodge of design paper under his nose, demanding if 'they go', before stomping back to my hole!) Which is why I generally choose my paper first. Or choose a paper and colour an image to match it, even if I don’t then use the paper. Sneaky, huh?! Anyway, I coloured this image, completely by myself. Go me!

By the way, my PJs lasted until 11am yesterday. Then I went shopping for fairy lights!

Thanks for becoming more "real" by sharing that you have trouble seeing what colors go together. I think you did a fabulous job picking those colors all on your own! Yay, Faye!!! The end result is a simply stunning piece of art. Thank you so much for sharing!! :)

Wow! Love this fairy and her gorgeous red hair (I've always wanted red hair myself, and freckles too). You did a fantastic job coloring her and I like the broad doodled frame.

Wowsers, she is gorgeous and your colouring is super gorgeous to match! The bright colours are fabulous, and I'm exactly the same about matching my colouring to my DP...I really get my knickers in a twist sometimes about whether it matches properly!

Big hugs, Kat xx
