Sweet Treats down Memory Lane

Cooooooooooooey :)

So, you know the drill by now! Cupcake:

is in the post down below, otherwise, it's all about Inspiration Monday at La-La Land Crafts:

and this week, we'd like to see Sweet Treats. Waaaaaaahoo! That's me doing a happy dance! Don't forget to add your creations to the Customer Gallery for a chance to do your own happy dance if you win goodies!

I like this card and I like it for a number of reasons. I've not used my 'Go To' Pink Colour Combo and although I was very unsure at the time, (I wanted to give her a turquoise dress, but Very Understanding Hubby said go with the pink.) it's grown on me and does work with the paper.

The paper. It's one of my 'Only For Stroking' Papers, it's soooooooo pretty and reminds me of my Nan's kitchen, I think the curtains, but I could be wrong. Anyway, the paper reminds me of my Nan's kitchen, which is kind of the inspiration behind this card.

When I was little, I used to stay at my Nan's and I would play at being a maid. This involved me having a different name every day and wearing my Nan's pinnies while I helped with stuff, sometimes cooking.

And, just outside the back door, at my nan's, the back door going into the kitchen, there was a flower bed, full of, yep, you guessed it, giant daisies. So, Sugar n Spice Marci, for today only, is hereby declared Fluffie Marci!

Hi Faye
I love this card! The paper you used reminds me of my grandparents sofa cover but my grandmother always used to cover it with some other piece of fabric because she could not bear to have it stained. Marci is very sweet.

So are sitting there now with a kettle steaming the paper back off again. Yes those giant daises were called marguerites and had to stay outside the back door cos your Nan would never have them cut and brought into the house bacuse she said the smell was too strong. I think subconciously that was behind my thinking for my daisy tag this week!!!
Spooky Wooky!!
