The Case of The Trapped Madonna...

Hey there Peeps :)

I'm a little later than normal with my Cupcake post, as I wanted to tie it in with a Project Feature for Some Odd Girl. So, here we are. When I was thinking about what I was going to do for this project, it occurred to me, I've never coloured an Odd Image in Pencils. My Bad! I love the texture I get from Pencils, which is why I never blend them. The rustic type of feel just seemed right for Woodsy Mae, too.

This week, over at Cupcake, Liza has chosen Tag, You're It! Simples really, you just need to make a tag, something I don't really do very often. More My Bad. Anyhow, we're sponsored by Simon Says Stamp this time. I hope you have time to pop over and see the wonderful creations from the rest of the girls, including the debuts from our June Guest Cupcakes.

Now, for The Case of The Trapped Madonna...

We have a new car. She's fab and has all kinds of modern technology. For example, you don't need a key to turn her on. Oooooooooooh, it has a button. I still keep going to take the keys out of the ignition though. And, if you stall her, (difficult to tell, engine is very quiet and you can't hear it over the stereo.) instead of just flicking the keys back and forth in the ignition, you have to take your foot off the clutch and then put it back, rather than keep pushing the button and shouting at it. (And the other drivers that are yelling at you and telling you to move it. Humph.) And, you don't need a key to unlock her. So long as they're in your pocket, Nessie, recognises you and pops open. Of course, this is brilliant if you are wearing pockets and the keys are not just chucked in the little tray in the centre inside, along with Sweet Cheeks, who now he's bigger can reach the internal lock and has a thing for pressing any button he can gets his fingers on.

Nessie has a stereo. Now I know that's not cutting edge in the technology field, but the fuse has busted on it. I'm not saying anything about the volume level, but the fuse has busted. Ironically, I was listening to Turn Up the Radio... I was just doing as I was told. And when you have all the windows open, you need the stereo on louder so you can hear it! Anyway, Madonna is now trapped inside. I can't get her. And as getting the stereo fixed falls very heavily into the Blue Job Camp, she will be for some time. I like to make Very Understanding Hubby feel empowered and like he has a purpose around the house. So, fixing the stereo is defo Blue. Whereas drinking tea and chatting to my mates is completely Pink...

Have a fab day :)

My SIL has one of those cars too that's so quiet you don't hear it running & apparently it switches off at traffic lights to conserve energy. I'm more of 'souped-up' quadruple exhaust kinda gal. I like to make an entrance...lol.!
Beeoootiful card me ol' mucker...must drop BIGGER hints about pencils for Xmas...great job x

Hi Faye, fabulous tag - love the clouds and the image (of course!).

Afraid no faby-dabby car for us - we did get a newer Ford a couple years ago, but I don't like it very much and have gone back to my beaten up little Corsa (the one I drove in the ditch!), gotta love a Corsa! And the ditch wasn't my fault - it was the snow, I can't say sorry enough to the car - poor thing has never forgiven me!!!

Superb tag and I love your story, but be happy you have a Nessie that's new, 'cause my 'tuteke' is very old, 20 years and doesn't like to get stuck in traffic, so this morning, as I was a little (half hour) later, I had to pull over and open the motorcap and let her coll down for 10 minutes before being able to continue to try to get to work :( and that on a monday ? Not a good way to start my week !

You've got me confused with the pink and the blue references. Did I miss something earlier? I get it: Pink is doing the grocery shopping; Blue is removing it from the car (in my house). Sorry to learn about Madonna. Hope she gets out soon! Nessies sounds sweet but what is a "clutch"?
Love your sweet pencilled make! Hugs, Lesley

Ah! That Madonna...not the fallen Madonna with the big boobies (apols as you're probably too young to get this reference, thinking about it). Hope you get the stereo fixed. I thought it was the law to have in-car music LOUD so the fuse was obviously faulty. Sending hugs, Tracey xx

Im so lucky my hubby can fix anything, including taking things to pieces to remove trapped cd's, dvd's, games etc :) Most car hi-fi shops would be able to do it though, so I hope you get your cd back hun :)
