It's a bit like you with a flower...

Morning Fluffers!

It's a bit like you with a flower. That's what Sweet Cheeks said when I showed him this card for the official seal of approval. I'd like to think my cheeks aren't that well rounded, but hey-ho, maybe I need to cut down on the Jelly Beans! ;)

So, Monday morning can mean only one thing. No, not a bad mood because it's Monday morning. It's time for a Cupcake. This week, Sari has chosen an absolute corker, Denim and Lace. (Leg Warmers optional.) And I have to tell you, this had me a bit perplexed. The lace was easy. But the Denim... Hmmmm. I have a pair of jeans that are just ripe for cutting up, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. (I have a sentimental attachment to them.) I should have got Mrs A up, she loves cutting up old clothes, and she hates jeans.

Anyway, after much head scratching, and deciding leaving the country was not viable, this is what I came up with. I have no idea where the paper came from, but the blue reminds me of a pair of stonewash jeans.

Be sure to pop over to Cupcake and see the gorgeous creations from The Girls. And if that doesn't inspire you, maybe the chance to win stash from Crafty Emma's Store, Polka Doodles and Scrap Affair will be!

I'll be back in a few hours with my Pollycraft Post. :)

I'd like to enter this card to The Customer Gallery at La-La Lands Craft Blog.

I think Sweet Cheeks comment is adorable! He could have said something awful like did you eat all the ice cream to get those sticks? Adorable card Faye and glad you didn't work the legwarmers into the design!

LOL @ your son's comments! Brilliant! Isn't it just great how observant they are?!!
Great card, Faye. I have never seen you in real life so can't say if Sweet Cheeks is right or not, but I am sure he is, and even if you have red round cheeks, the image is lovely and you must be too! ;-)

Now there you go again, giving me ideas ... looks like I'm going to have to buy a few boxes of Magnums to get the sticks to make the frames ... and I'm prepared to risk feeling bloated sick for the sake of a good card. Love the cute image, too. xx

Hi Faye, such a sweet card! Love the story as well - I've got a child who does that too! Not said I look like one of the Simpy Sassys yet - it's normally one of the bigger Mo Manning fairies that she says looks like mummy!!! She has also been known to add her own touch to my cards. But the glitter looks lovely mummy is the response when I'm jumping around trying to repair the damage! Sarah

Sorry to learn that you have been poorly. Hopefully you are better now. The icecreams that used to be on the lolly sticks before they became seed sewing marker sticks, hopefully helped to soothe your throat. Cute card, Fluff - I think it could look like you with a flower too but I have never seen you in bunches! Hugs, Lesley
