The Green Mile...

The weekend starts here Baby! Time for a new challenge over at CES, which brings my GD Spot to a close. :( Thanks so much for having me Girls, I've really enjoyed playing along. So what do we want to see for a chance to win a £10 Gift Voucher to spend in Crafty Emma's Store? Embossing. What a fab challenge, right?

I loved making this card. My beloved string is back in the running (breathe Jane!) and I've had this pretty paper stashed for literally a year, because I couldn't bring myself to cut it up. This image just seemed to go perfectly with it though.

Sweet Cheeks had a taster session at Nursery yesterday morning. It was a long walk back from the front door of The Nursery to the car! At home it felt a little odd, as there were no frozen fishfingers for me to rescue from the toilet. I know, I thought, I'll make a cup of tea. And then, I drank it! (Rock 'n' Roll!) After two loads of washing, tidying, washing up, dusting and the vacumning were done, it still felt a bit quiet. Even the builders didn't distract me. (Raining, fully clothed.) Maybe next time I'll lose myself in The Bat Cave...

I'm going to enter this card at:

Crafty Cardmakers - Embossing
Truly Scrumptious - Anything Goes
Totally Gorjuss - Strings the Thing (Yeah Baby!)

Recipe
Cardstock: Stampin Up!
Papers: Papermania, Henbury Lane
Image: Together Forever, Lili Of The Valley
Colouring: Copics
Tools: Die-Namics Trio of Flowers Die, Country Companions Lovers Lane Embossing Folder
Other: Charm, pearls and string from stash

Aaww! Hugs to you, you must have missed Sweet Cheeks, but if you're like most of us it won't be long til you're thinking that 3 hours at nursery are not enough lol!!

Totally gorgeous card, DSP is beautiful. Enjoy your weekend xx

Oh Faye...I feel your pain today. The pain of having to use that gorgeous Papermania paper for one!! I too remeber that long walk back to the car when my Ollie-pops (he's 11 don't tell anyone I called him that!!!) went off to nursery. However I still had him attached to my leg when I got back to the car as he just wouldn't go in & be left there without me. At least your leg was void of child. A welcome return of THE STRING...missed yer. May your weekend be of the Groovy kind xxx

This is adorable my darling - love that paper and your gorgeous colouring. And string - yay! I remember the time that Gregor was at nursery - that fleeting couple of years before I went back to work. The house was eerily quiet but cleaner that it had ever been, or ever shall be again and the garden actually had flowers (ones that grew) in it. Plus it doesn't take long for the longest 3 hours in the day becomes the shortest 3 hours in the day. Enjoy! Tracey xx

LOL @ Suzie Q! she is absolutely right though! :D
yes I know it seems strange now, but sweet cheeks will love nursery cos you've given him the best head start, and I promise you that it is more heart wrenching for you than him, and he'll be so happy to see you when you pick him up, you won't be able to shut him up as he tells you excitedly what he's been doing in nursery. Think of all those handmade cards and gifts you will get over the years, you'll cherish each and every one.
So relish in the peace and enjoy your full cuppa while you can hunni ((hugs))

You've made another corker! and your signature string has returned! :)
Think I need that paper, off to google.

have a wonderful weekend/bank holiday, mwah!

Hi Faye! Fab card. Lovely to have had you at CES challenges. Yes the paper is very pretty and so is the sweet image.

My little one will be having his taster day at nursery soon too. I'll miss him sob, sob, my little man! You think I'd be used to it now him being my fourth, but he's such a little darling...want to keep him little forever. Once they start nursery they seem to grow up so quickly and before you know it they're at high school! Can remember my eldest's taster day so clearly. He headed straight for a huge puddle on the yard and ended up wet to the ankles before we even went in. He'll be 14 this year.xx Jenny xx
