Small World

Last weekend, I was feeling a little sad, so I took myself off to a couple of my favourite online shops to cheer myself up.

As is often the case when I have been licking the pooter screen for a prolonged period, there was some kind of malfunction with the shop's website and some things ended up in my shopping basket.

Being the kind of girl who doesn't like to cause a problem, I decided to proceed through check out, because obviously the shop had enough to deal with with their dodgy basket thingy. And Baggage Control is still completely un-manned at the moment. Although I do have a problem if Sweet Cheeks gets to the post before I do; he's like a highly trained sniffer dog and if he gets it first, it takes hours (and bribery) to get it back!

At the time I placed the order, I wasn't sure when we were going to be moving, so I thought it would be ok to help the shop out. Of course, it's now gone completely nuts and I find myself having stash delivered to a house several counties away from where I will actually be living!

Yesterday morning, I phoned the shop to see if I could sort something out. I was speaking to a very nice and helpful lady on the phone, who sounded like she was getting a little excited about my order. Suddenly, she told me that she knew me (Okaaaaaaaaay!) and asked me if I had a Blog and what it was called. I'm not sure what happened next, but there was some white noise as we realised who we both were! It's was only my Little Fruit n Nut
Suzie Q! Lucky girl works in a craft shop and gets to stroke stash all day! How cool is that?!

Anyway, made this card for this weeks lovely challenge over at
Sketch Saturday. The lace and string idea looked really pretty in my Fluffie little head, not sure about it in real life though...

Boxes Packed: 25 (had to go out for more boxes yesterday)
Moving in: 4 Days (Confirmed)
Panic: Vague

Your life is never dull ! LOL
No panic, you still have time !
If you don't get there, you can always blame hubby for leaving you alone to do all the packing ?

So cute Faye! Love the paper piecing and the lace & twine! Now that I know you don't live in some strange place that does not allow craft supplies, your story is quite funny! lol I am panicing for you so you don't have to!

Unmanned baggage control - very dangerous, especially with such dodgy checkout systems.

Gorgeous card

Good luck with the move.

hee hee...I love how extra craft goodies just ended up in your craft basket due to some computer malfunction! So good of you not to cause the shop any further work having to remove them again! (I'm SO gonna try that story on Mr Poppit!) x

Wow, very small world, how funny! Love your card Faye, the paper piecing looks fab and so does all that scrummy lace.

Re the potty training - Dex was 3 in Jan and showed no interest at all even though I was sure he was ready... so I just took the nappies off and went for it, luckily it worked lol. Lisa x
