E31 Lost in Action...

Sweet Cheeks is getting to the point where he's ready to drop his daytime snooze. He hasn't stopped every day, but there is a significant change in the zzzz's. Gulp! This has a direct impact on my Woo-sar, as when Sweet Cheeks sleeps, I do housework (AKA crafting)! And if I go too long with no playtime, it has a similar effect on me as Road Rage Week.

When I mentioned it to Very Understanding Hubby, he suggested that I take Sweet Cheeks into the Snug with me so we can craft together! Nice idea! ;)

On Monday afternoon, Very Understanding Hubby took Sweet Cheeks into the Snug, to show him Mummy's toys are not for Sweet Cheeks, but he can still use his things on my desk...

Well, it wasn't quiet while they were in there, but I left them to it. A while later, Very Understanding Hubby and Sweet Cheeks reappeared and one of them looked a bit sheepish. The Sheepish one said 'you might not want to leave your Copics on your desk anymore...'

I'm a bit deflated about this card. I decided to do something for a boy as I have had a run of pretty but I don't feel it turned out as well as I had planned/ wanted. It might have something to do with Monday's card. I'm still so pleased with that one, that anything I make now, unless I'm equally as happy, will disappoint me!

As I used Jo's fabby Sketch from the current Sketch Saturday Challenge, I'm going to play with the big boys!

Right, I'm off to hypnotise Il Neno...

Fluff I can't believe you aren't happy with this one when it is so FAB! The second I saw it I though "Love it!"
Hmmmmmm welcome to the world of snatched crafting moments......this was the time I had to drop 2 DT's as I was just letting everyone down. I haven't crafted in the day for almost 6 months now and I id very stressful. I am in a state of perma road rage and the day I having so far isn't helping. Sorry to hear of the loss of your Copic. Men. They weill never understand!

WOW.....you need a cake or 2 taken away from & be banned from choccy for a WHOLE week....this card is fab I absolutely love it I have this stamp....be it still un-inked (my defence I've only had it for 4 months ssshhh) if mine turns out anything like this I will be blooming happy. This is just gorgeous. When my boys were little & I wanted some time away I'm not gonna go into detail lol but a Walt Disney film use to work wonders, especially if its 1 they end up glued to. With my eldest it was Beauty & Beast & Jungle Book & with the youngest anything Teletubbies YUKKKKK or Tom & Jerry the movie lol.

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Are you CRAZY?!?! This is AWESOME!!! LOVE how you have the newspaper and the tip of the tree coming out of the frame. And the coloring is so soft, it compliments the paper perfectly.

Yep, it's a sad sad day when they stop taking naps. My son was such a good napper too...3+ hours a day. AMAZING crafting time!! LOL

What's wrong with it? Nothing!! It's lovely and, E51 or no, coloured beautifully. The upside of SC not needing a snooze during the day is that he'll probably go out like a light after tea. The hard part is stopping him falling asleep while he's having his tea - at least that was my experience with Gregor! Hugs, Tracey xx

Oh, Faye, how can you be not happy with your card? You know you have the right to like more than one of your cards... Well, I love today's card! The image is totally adorable and your colouring and the colours are just perfect! As for naps, they are definitely meant for housework erm... erm... And I am in a very bad mood when the housework has not been done... then I just have to do it very late at night... Gotta go, I think I have some very important cleaning to do;)! Big hugs, Delphine xxx

Well I think you should 'suggest' to VUH that he has some 'boy time' with Sweet Cheeks in order that you get some crafting time. If you point out how much it will cost to replace E31 I'm sure he'll see your point, I mean it's not just E31, it's all those other suicidal copics that will 'jump' in your basket, and then there'll be the paper, string, ribbon, stamps...... need I go on?

And just for the record, you are bonkers! This card is wonderful, I love it. Pull yourself together girl. Hugs xx

Now, Faye, you have me so curious about the Coptics. I hope they survived. This is a gorgeous work you have here. Your coloring as usual is perfection! And the little scrap of burlap is perfect for a boy card. Now, many years ago, my son began to outgrow his nap long before I was ready. So I told him that there is a rule in our house that we rest for an hour in the afternoon. Sleeping was not required but lying in the bed was. Both my children stayed in cribs till they were ready for a twin-sized bed at age 4. Mean mom that I was, but it didn't seem to cause any long term psychological damage. They are in their 40s and 50s and seem normal.

Erm, I like it so I choose to ignore your grumbling! LOTV rocks!!
Oh, and I feel your pain - Miss Mischief never really had proper day naps :( And just another morning she discovered I had forgotten to lock the craft room door...guess what she went for??
I now need to buy new nibs for most of my earth tone Copics!! Motherhood is a bitter pill indeed at times like these, lol

You last card was a stunner for a girl but this card has lots of wonderfulness about it too and is just right for a boy. Your last card had pretty pins (not something for a boy's card) and a pretty flower charm (also not something for a boy's card) and was sparkly (need I say more?). This image is beautifully coloured (no less than your last card) has perfectly coordinating papers (no less than your last card) and fabby texture and embellishments and is spot on for a boy so don't be so hard on yourself!

Sweet cheeks needs some colouring pens of his own I think that Mummy isn't supposed to use (not sure how to deal with "sharing" as a concept under those circumstances though). Good luck crafting with a 2 year old. Not sure hubby quite understands! Oh, I'm sorry you done broke your Epic - what is an Epic?

Hugs to you, Fluff
Lesley
