Time for a bit of Shirley Bassey Folks! Gold Finger! I bet you'll be singing that all day now. Anyway, gold fingers are exatly what I had when I made this project for Delphine's fabby new challenge at Cupcake; Anything but Square.
Inspired by Sari's wonderful creations, I thought I'd have a go at altering something, and surprisingly, I really enjoyed it. Nothing to cut I guess, it might have been a different story if I'd made a box! It's supposed to be a magnet, but before it got sent to a rather special friend, I'd been using it as a pretty paperweight!

It's been coated in beige paint, then white paint with a liberal dose of duffing so the beige peeped through to make it look old. Finally gold leaf (hence the gold fingers, that stuff gets everywhere and sticks to everything too!) round the edge and some more duffing!
This week, we're sponsored by Lili of the Valley and Tickled Pink Stamps, in addition to our lovely Icing on the Cupcake Sponsor, Crafts U Love. And don't forget hop over to Cupcake and see the lovely creations the rest of the Girls have made.
Over at Sketch n Stash today, Lizzy has designed this faberoony sketch for us to play with:

You can flip it if you like, so long as we can recognise the basic elements of the sketch, we'll be happy! We are lucky enough to be sponsored by Pink Gem this time. And don't forget to tell us what your stash is, new or otherwise. Take a peep at the creations from the rest of the Sketch n Stash Girls, they'll be so chuffed to see you. Here's mine:

I'm fairly happy with how this turned out, with the exception of the little dog. In hindsight I would've/ should've coloured him in darker browns, but hey-ho! My new stash is also old stash, in that I've had this stamp for a while, but this is it's first outing! ;) Ahem!
On a sadder note, it is my Grandad's funeral today, so please forgive me if you don't see me commenting for a couple of days.
