On my Mind

Hello :)

I am stepping away from the trauma of creating cards for That Thing on 25 December We Don't Mention, to share my card for the new Challenge at Crafts and Me... Summer/ Anything Goes. Phew! No mistletoe here, I can breathe easy and put the mince pies back in the freezer again.

I posted this card over at Copic Marker Europe on Tuesday and gave a brief description on how I coloured the background. And you will have seen this in Making Cards Magazine too. (Talking of which, August Issue hit the shops yesterday, Peeps.) Gosh, she's been a busy girl!

I'm not a fan of mince pies anywa, keep them in the freezer. I'm in denial about Christmas until it gets here, I still have about a thousand Christmas crads to make so la la la la...not thinking about it.....

This card is amazing, that yellow background really makes the whole thing pop. I love Jeremiah Ketner images, but I can't seem to get them to work well with distress inks because of all the grey shading already on them, the watercolour inks just don't have the coverage. Love looking at his stuff though and you've coloured this amazingly. Hope you're getting some good 'Pimms' weather there, it's a little dismal up this way :) xx
