Sweet Cheeks is Officially a Big Boy... Sob!

 Morning All :)

It's a big day in The House of Fluff, as Sweet Cheeks starts Big Boy School. Sweet Cheeks of course, is very excited, he's been desperate to get into his new uniform (that'll change in another six years or so!) all week. I had to hide it, otherwise he would have slept in it too. But, I have mixed emotions about the whole thing and expect I may shed a tear or two when I get back from the school run, if not before. Get the hankies ready, Peeps!

So, Friday morning means time for a new Challenge over at Graph'It Colour Challenge and this week, it's all about Background Effects. I really like this image from Polka Doodles BonBon Belles, it's so whimsy, and goes perfectly with the splodgy, dotty background I love to do. In fact, I have a Tutorial on that very technique over at Graph'It Colour Challenge, if you're interested. Otherwise, have a fabby Friday...

Om Goodness Little Sweet Cheeks is a Big Boy!! It only seems a few months ago he was a baby....don't they grow quick. My little boy is 21 on Sunday, hard to believe, again it feels like only days since he left school yet it's 4+ years ago. Enjoy every moment, and he will love it so keep that in mind when you feel sad.
Gorgeous card, love the image and the papers are gorgeous.

Another fabulous card Faye - I do like what you are doing with your backgrounds, will have to go over and see how you do it.

Big Boy School, eh! I was there this time 2 yrs ago - and did cry! Before the Big Day, on the way to school, on the way home, while she was at school, and picking her up.

She however loved it!!

Oh dear and now she's in Year 2 and wanted me to let her get on this morning when I was trying to give her a kiss and cuddle!!! I also was quite glad to see her go back to school and me get some me time back!

Make sure you get the pic outside the school gates for year on year estimation of how he's grown! I've got a spot for Em where I take her picture every year - memories are made of this!!!!

Gorgeous card Faye. I love the image and your colouring is just amazing.
Awwww I am sure you will be fine once you get used to it. It seems like only yesterday when mine started school and yes, I did cry too and I still get upset when they go back to school after the summer holidays as I just love having them at home.
Take care

Another beautiful card, Faye. The image is so sweet and as always, coloured beautifully. Hope Sweet Cheeks had a brilliant first day at Big Boy School. It's always harder on the mums than on the kids but just think of all the great stories he's going to tell you when he gets home! Hugs, Tracey x

Hope the first day went well for both of you! I am sure he will be excited to tell you all about it and you will have lots of fun helping him do projects too. This image is so whimsical and you have colored it perfectly. Your splodgy technique will probably even hide those tears...
