Morning Fluffers :)
We have a fab new Release over at Little Miss Muffet this week... Four Rubber Stamps and eight Pollycraft Digis. I really wanted to play with Chloe and knew exactly what I was going to do and what papers. Everything. Sounds great, right? Wrong!
This was one of those cards that just. Would. Not. Come. Together. In the end, I destroyed three card blanks, kraft cardstock and half a sheet of patterened paper because I kept pulling it apart. It's not the card I had planned, and although the papers are from the paper pad I wanted to use, they're not 'The Ones'. Maybe it's these Echo Park Papers. I really love this pad, but I struggle every time I use them. I'm a bit disappointed with how this turned out... each time I look at it, it feels like I'm looking at something I made a few years ago. Pfffff!

Well I love it Faye - especially the way the image circle overlaps the scalloped one in parts, such a neat trick that I always wreck when I try! Love those Echo Park papers too - maybe your pack has the 'hex' on it?
ReplyDeleteHave enrolled on a plumbing and DIY repair course ready for the next time Mrs A wants an outing BTW :)

What is the matter with you Sweetie ? Your card is gorgeous ! Love the papers and your colouring is fantastic ! I think it's the lack of choccies... Hugs, blessings and love from Catherine
ReplyDeleteSurprise!! I was very early today! I managed to be organised this week. It will not last :-) I love your card but I know what you mean about these papers, they have me stumped too, a few Echo Park pads do this to me...don't know why!

LOL! I saw your card before I read the write up and my first thought was "yay! Faye is using my favorite papers - the bright and happy ones from Echo Park!". Hmmmm, maybe it is just the pink one that got you, I have not been able to pull that one in too much. Overall fab as always and I LOVE the YELLOW sweater!!!
ReplyDeleteFaye it's lovely, honest... the colours are so fresh! You're too hard on yourself... but I know where you're coming from, I'm the same with my cards! Sometimes no matter what we do, it just doesn't work in our eyes! xx
