Shy Fairy

Hellio :)

It's the last day of the Digi Releases at Some Odd Girl, and today, we meet Shy Fairy. Gorge isn't she? Oh, but I had a job with her skirt. I lost count of how many times I gave up and started again! But here she is, anyway. And naturally, as she's all pinky, I sent her to live with Mrs A.

Wednesday today, so who's ready for a Wynj? But first, the random winner of the Wynj candy from last week is... Shelly :)

Every morning in our house starts the same way Peeps. Or should I say, every moaning? Actually, we need to back pedal a bit here. Every night, before the morning after, starts the same way. We go to bed, and Very Understanding Hubby says, as he tucks a significant wedge of duvet under him, the opposite side to me, 'don't nick all the duvet tonight, you always nick all the duvet.'

Next, he thumps a second big wedge of duvet, down the gap in between us.  Boo, the cat, then goes and sits at the bottom of the bed, which means you can't/ won't move the duvet, because you wouldn't want to disturb the cat, would you?

About thirty three seconds after all that, Very Understanding Hubby starts snoring, due to the fact he can slip into a coma, about thirty three seconds after his head hits the pillow. And me, I'm left with a good six inch duvet deficit, which generally keeps me awake, shivering, despite the thick winter PJs, socks, and dressing gown over my feet, until the early hours of the morning.

At which point, I give up and go and make a cup of tea, (coz caffeine and sleep go hand in hand together, don't they?!) in an attempt to get some kind of warmth into me. After that, I spend a few more hours thinking about stuff, before finally falling asleep about 4am.

Fast forward to around 6.30am, when Boo decides he wants his breakfast. He comes up and nibbles my head and around the same time, hallelujah, the central heating comes on! I think this also rouses Very Understanding Hubby, he must be able to subconsciously feel his wallet shrinking!

Very Understanding Hubby, then rolls over to my side, bringing the stashed duvet with him and, generously, heaps it over my side. At which point he wakes up and says? Yep, you got it. 'You nicked all the duvet last night. Again. And you were snoring!' Well! Everyone knows that snoring is a Blue Job...

Oh how that sounds familiar !
This is my solution now, I go to bed earlier than my hubby and I'm very asleep when he comes in and that's when I have all the duvet :) Good luck Faye !
Love your card !

Gorgeous card, Fluff! Love the giant cloud! Loved your story too. Not only do you have my cat but in this instance anyway, you have my husband: Goes to sleep 30 seconds after hitting the pillow (check), faces away from my side and stuffs two foot of duvet between his knees thereby leaving me with insufficient coverage (check), snores (check). Also, he sleeps with his arm on the outside of the duvet which forces it down too low so I have to sleep half way down the bed! Hugs, Lesley

Nothing shy about her. she is sitting happily on my shelf looking down at me working/talking at my desk. Hugs Muver.

Stick VUH and Boo cat in a sleeping bag together and let them fight over who gets the zip side, thus leaving you to use/take/snuck the whole of the duvet to oneself.
Simples. Hugs Muver.

OMG! Your story is so true. Men have a way of seeing the world their way and then finding fault in us females. BUT ... you defo can't disturb BOO the cat, as cats have their own rights. Is he really called Boo? LOL, poor little thing ...

Sorry, was so carried away by your story, forgot to say how much I love your card with that gorgeously fairy sitting on the cloud. xx

Haha! My husband always says I steal it too but when I come to bed he has already tossed it off so how is it stealing if he gave it to me? Men! Love the fairy and how you have her sitting on the cloud, too cute!
