Little Kitty's got Copics...

Morning Fluffers :)

You know that Lawyer I told you about on Monday, well, turns out, I just might need to keep one on a retainer...

Yesterday afternoon, Very Understanding Hubby was engaged in some Manly Type DIY Jobs in The Flufferie. (Actually, he was engaged in quite a few, separate Manly Type DIY Jobs around the house, but sssssssshhhh, I don't think he's billing me for everything.)

I, am not allowed to engage in Manly Type DIY Jobs, because, they fall strictly under Blue Jurisdiction, and, well, Very Understanding Hubby gets a bit OCD about these kind of jobs. For example. If I need to put a screw in the wall, and I can't find the drill, I am happy to get a nail, a stiletto, bang the nail in, waggle it around a bit to make the hole bigger, pull it out with a pair of scissors and put the screw in. Job Done. Or rather, not. Apparently this is not the way it's done. Hence, I am banned from all Manly Type DIY Jobs.

But, back to yesterday afternoon. After Very Understanding Hubby had hung a rather delicious four foot canvas of a stack of cupcakes (no licking allowed, the ink might come off.) up in The Flufferie, I thought I'd strike while the iron was hot and remind him about the hanging rails he'd agreed to, erm, hang, for my Copic Pen Pots, to, erm, hang from. It's possible I was a little distracted with excitement about the new hanging rails, as this was not a well thought out plan.

There was already some disquiet amongst the Manly Type DIY Job Ranks because of the lack of forthcoming mugs of tea on my part. Tea Making For Workmen falls strictly under Pink Jurisdiction, as it keeps me away from the power tools.

But, back to yesterday afternoon. The hanging of the said New Copic Pen Pot Hanging Rails, required me to produce my pots of Copics. My pots of Copics normally live in a little cupboard and come out, a few at a time, when I am using them. Therefore, if you were to stumble into The Flufferie, you would perhaps, mistakenly, be led to believe that there were only, ever, a few pots of Copics...

This is Lil Kitty, one of the Pollycraft Images available from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
It's possible she's holding a pot of Copic Pens behind her back!

Does anyone know a good Lawyer?

  3. Lol! Oops you were totally busted! I'm lucky on that front... since my hubby forgot my birthday this year I managed to guilt trip him and get him to top up my copic collection to nearly full (just missing the fluoros and a few greys)!

Gorgeous card! Lil Kitty is so cute and definitely looks like she is hiding something!

  4. Faye you crack me up.

I too have a Manly Jobs problem which is tough, as in the days BH (Before Hubby) I tiled, put up coving, laid flooring, etc, etc
I'm good at it. However he's slightly more challenged and doesn't take constructive critisism well. ;-)

OH and Lovely card, we have that hat!

    Have a good day

  9. Might I suggest a number of Copics for display purposes and a number of Copics for hiding and gradually coming out into the display. It is then not so much of a shock to the VEH's. I am speaking from experience. It is too late for you now but keep this in mind for any other large stash of product you have. You make me laugh - thank you!
BTW - great card Faye. Love those colours. x

I did...missed the nail and made a huge hole instead....No more banging nails on the wall for me either...Don't really understand why.... I covered the the hole with picture...so all is fine....untill the picture comes down some day...*lol* Have a wonderful day! Oh, btw, my SIL is a TOP lawyer!!! She can back you up!!

  13. You're nicked!
You might have won them though! Or been given them by friends!
Love your Blue and Pink chores list. I would have thought Lovely and Supportive Very Understanding Hubby would want to keep you away from the Blue chores due to your tendency to maim yourself! Hugs, Lesley
PS - washing up and tidying up the kitchen is a Blue chore in England! Do you know that? Does LSVUH?

  30. Too cute! Very sweet and simple! Gorgeous papers!!!

Things are a bit backwards in my house, I'm usually the one drilling, hanging, fixing, etc... I'm totally OCD. My husband's territory is the yard. (which I happily hand over to him!)

  33. Alright, so I know I am behind on my commenting but heavens to Betsy, you had 16 posts waiting for me! Cut it out already! And I even made a card for the Cupcake challenge and missed the darn deadline. Here I thought I was ahead and apparently I am further behind then I realized! Your cards are all lovely of course, your SOG coloring is amazing and I do believe you should be allowed to have all of the copics you want. It is a womans perogative and your Very Understanding Hubby should not question these things. It could throw off his karma. Hugs!

  34. LOL!! I know just how you feel. I had the same stomach turning moment when my hubby took a photo of my crafty shelf (practising his focusing on his new lens)......

'erm, just how many of those posh looking martha stewart punches do you need'.......... eek! A shelf full I explained!! :D

Love your sweet image hun and really cute card!

    hugs
