I'm special!

Morning Peeps! Brace yourselves, I am on one...

Yesterday morning I woke up to the realisation that it was;

a) Friday
b) the thirteenth.

As I have a remarkable knack for;

a) finding
b) getting into

trouble, I decided it was best to keep within a five mile radius of the house, and with Sweet Cheeks safely stashed at Nursery, I took myself off to The Bat Cave for the safety of;

a) myself
b) the unsuspecting general public.

However, I forgot to account for the fact that trouble can also find me. Which it did, in the form of an Estate Agent. That's all I'm saying at this point. Other than; by the time/ if, our house actually sells, I'm going to have a tic like Chief Inspector Dreyfus in The Pink Panther. (Peter Sellers, not Steve Martin.) But that's enough of that. Let's talk about something else. I know...

Toast. Let's talk about toast...

I'm happy to admit I'm a bit weird and slightly quirky, and because I'm odd, it makes me a bit funny with toast. And bread in general. You see, I really like the neat, square part of the slice of bread. You know, the part that would've been in the tin when it baked. The top, rounded part, disturbs me, because, it's, well, round! Now, when you eat your tea, do you eat the bits you don't like first? You know, like carrots? (Eeeeuuuuew!) Then the thing you enjoy? And lastly, the thing you love? Like roasties? Yes? Me too! So, it's only natural for me to eat the round part of the toast first, saving my favourite square bits, till last.

On Friday the thirteenth, when I was eating my toast, Very Understanding Hubby asked if he could have a piece. Can you imagine my face when he took a square bit? I mean, he knows what I'm like. What was he thinking?!

I'm telling you, I need to be kept indoors!

Thankully, it's Saturday now, (and not the thirteenth) which means it's time for a faberoony new sketch from Jo, over at Sketch Saturday! If you'd like a chance to win some stash from Simon Says Stamp, you'd best head over to Sketch Saturday for some inspiration from the girls and then play along...

How 'One' as unstable as yourself ever gets a decent card made I'll never know! Clearly your ranking at the asylum, where you have evidently escaped, is rather high. Those nice men with the white coats are behind you...BOO!

Oh! wowee Faye, this is gorgeous hun. Love the image and very scrummy paper. Your colouring is the bee's knees as always hun. Toast, don't get me started. I can't have it staight out the toaster, have to cool it a bit so the butter melts BUT not all the way. Been married 20 years and still can't get hubby to do it right.

Oh the can of worms that you have opened, missus! Toast. It can never be burned - ever. It can never have butter put on it too soon so that it melts in and makes it squidgy - oh no. And no one in my house can ever - repeat EVER - put butter on their toast and get the toasty crumbs in the butter as they go in for an extra helping. Not even visitors. I have been known to take a small knife and kitchen paper to the butter to remove the offending crumbs because they cause me so much stress. And you think you're strange! LOVE the card. Your colouring is beautiful - that dress!- and the papers are gorgeous. Might need them soon. Mwah xx

This is really gorgeous Faye! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I've been having problems with my blog feeding...don't know what's wrong with it? Everyone keeps telling me that they haven't been seeing any of my post since the 1st week of December. They have to actually go to my blog and see that I have been posting. Networked blogs stopped auto feeding for me too. So I don't know what's wrong...lol! Kinda frustrating! But thanks for giving me a heads up letting me know that there is still an issue!

Hi Faye, oh wow - I just love this one. So pretty and girlie, great colours and those pearls - to die for!

I must admit I'm fine with toast, doesn't bother me how it comes out - as long it's not burnt of course!

But you said carrots were urgh - they are not!!! They and brussel sprouts are the first part of my dinner that I eat - yum, yum, yum!!!

Our poor hubby's eh, they can never do right can they.

Good Lord! You don't like the round part? That is the best part because the crust isn't as hard! We will have to get together and you can have my bottom part and I will take the top. Of course I don't eat the ends at all, Joe eats them or they go in the trash so who am I to talk! Love your card by the way, awesome coloring!

Beautiful hair! Lovely card! Crusts are poisonous! Everybody should know that! So when cutting the crusts off, I make a nice neat square of what is left and then I actually cut a hypotenuse. Toast should always be cut on the hypotenuse in my book. I don't eat bread unless it's toasted except when I have chips when the bread needs to be crustless, beautifully square and then cut into two rectangles. Chip butties cannot be served in triangles it's against the law. Hubby's plate always contains the crusts from mine before it is served - that way, I don't have to look at them and he already has some of my food on his plate and isn't tempted to steal nicely shaped pieces. Problem solved! Giant hugs, Lesley
