Flower Destructions

Morning Peeps!

I made one of these little flowers for last weeks Paper Sundaes DT card. I received a few e-mails asking how I did it, so I thought I'd show some destructions for anyone who wants them...

I had a good two metre length of Seam Binding to start with, but had loads left over. I just didn't want to run out, mid flower. BTW, you really must take a look at the Seam Binding over at Sew Sweet, there are sew (!) many colours to choose from, if choosing takes your fancy! ;)

Draw a circle, roughly the size you want your flower and cover it with double sided tape. Then cut a circle of card

Tie a knot in the end of the Seam Binding to give the centre of the flower a little oooomph and, well, stick it to the centre of the circle

Start to twist the Seam Binding

Then wrap the twisted Seam Binding around the knot in the centre of the circle, working out. Obviously you can vary the tightness of the twisting and wrapping for different effects

On the last wrap around, I left the twisting on the Seam Binding a little looser, to mimic the shape of a flower a bit more

Stick the end of the Seam Binding on the back of the flower

Voila!

Recipe
Cardstock: Stampin Up!
Papers: All Loved Up; Forever Friends
Tools: Flourish Die; Doohickeys, Nesties
Other: Seam Binding; Sew Sweet

I got some of the lovely seam binding in my lovely giveaway parcel from Sew Sweet so I'm going to try these as I think if I use felt backing rather than card they'd look good as decorations on my felt handbags, great tutorial

Somebody has posted a card on your blog here pretending they are you, Fluff! You know how sometimes you are flipping through creations on blogs and you just know that a certain card is by a certain person. I do that with yours usually but this one really pops as being "something completely different"! Perfect design, lovely paper, swirls and roses! Great tutorial too. Hugs, Lesley
