How Old (Am I)?

Which is a question I have been asking myself quite a lot this past week.

Sweet Cheeks is fully engaged in Terrible Two Mode at the moment. My response to him playing up/ rebelling/ pushing my buttons is to come down hard. Of course, this is completely the wrong approach, considering he's an independent, wilful, assertive little monkey.

At the end of a long day of intensive battle, after he has gone to bed, telling me he loves me, I find myself wondering just how a sweet little angel can make me want to reverse my own car over my head, how old I am and how comes I'm not acting like a reasonable adult in all of this...?

Over at Charisma this week, we are also asking the question How Old? You will need to incorporate an age onto your creation. Nice and Simples, right!

I seem to be having a run of cards I'm happy with at the moment. Which, of course means I'm due to make an absolute stinker. In fact, I may even have created such a number already. You can judge for yourselves on Saturday. In the meantime, please admire the big bow. It took almost as long to make that little blighter as it did to colour the image!!

I'm going to enter this at:

CES - CAS!!!

Right, off to paint some stripes on my cheeks and put my crash helmet on. Does anyone know any Maori War Cries...

Recipe
Cardstock: Bazill
Papers: Vintage from stash
Image: Bugaboo
Colouring: Copics
Tools: Nesties
Other: Ribbon from stash

Been there, seen it...got the T-shirt!! It doesn't last long trust me...at the time all the 'rubbishy' bits seem to last for ever, looking back (when you're a wrinkly like moi) their little 'annoying' stages were really short lived. Here endeth todays sermon! Meanwhile, lock him in the shed, bound n' gagged & lock yerself in your den...hahahaha!!! (Shoot! Hope the CPA aren't reading this...Double SHoot!!) luverlee card me ol' china xxx

Hi sweetie this is such a gorgeous card love the gingham.
We've been there hun the terrible
2's. My eldest was really wuite good but my youngest was a nightmare I ended up setting up a chart on the fridge so he got stars for good behaviour & broke his weekly pocket money into a daily amount so every day he was good he would get his money at the end lol. Bribery is always good lol. Now wait til they reach their teens you will want the 2's back cus thats when my eldest had his moments but Jake must have got it all out of his system when he was 2 cus he's brilliant. I have not grounded him for 3 years how fab is that lol....he really must of vented it all when he was younger lol.

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

There is a reason I only have cats....Other than hairballs and kittly litter they are pretty simple! I like the card and the bow, simple yet for a child just right. You may have an extra piece of chocolate today for your trials.

fantastic card, Faye! Love the pink & white!

My kids are much older now, the youngest just turned 13, but one adage that I have learned to be so true, is 'Start as you mean to go on.' If you let your kids get away with something now, it's 10 x harder to stop it the next time, and 20x harder down the road once it's a habit. Good luck with the terrible twos!

Great card - and colouring is fabby... Oh, those terrible two's... do you know what though? they seem to flow rather seemlessly into the trying three's, flippin fours, and so on - until hateful eighteens! Oh - is that just mine? When he's not mouthing about something - he's lovely, when he's got a bee in his bonnet - he's spiteful. Good luck sweetie - just bury your head in your copics when they play up LOL
