Morning Flufferoonies :)

Monday morning... time for a Cupcake and this week, I've let, well, me loose! I've chosen Grey and Yellow. And I chose it for a reason. Way back, last year, I saw the most beautiful card that had been coloured in grey monotones, but one thing, I think it was a flower, had been coloured in yellow. I thought it looked striking and very stylish and very, as I mentioned, beautiful, and I've been wanting to try it ever since. I had to wait for my week to come up, and here we are. So, here we are!

Of course, you don't have to use this method, you can just go for a grey and yellow colour scheme, if you fancy, but it's what I wanted to have a go at. We are sponsored, for the very first time, by, Make It Crafty, Zoe is very generously offering a $15 Gift Certificate to spend in store :) I hope you have time to stop by Cupcake, as the girls have ROCKED this theme.

Yesterday afternoon, because there was a seagull in the front garden, Sweet Cheeks and I had a discussion on the dietary requirements of, said, seagulls. Sweet Cheeks informed me, that because a seagull is a bird, they like to eat worms. I love kids, if only things were so easy!

Anyway, me, in my Fluffy wisdom, decided to tell him, that actually, seagulls are piggies and will eat pretty much anything. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank! That's the noise of a 'No' Buzzer, by the way. Sweet Cheeks turned to me, a bit bemused and says 'Mummy! A seagull is a seagull, not a piggy'. He may as well have said Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Too.

Me: Well, when you eat four bananananananas, a chunk of cheese, seven bread sticks, a jam tart, an apple and three mini sausages, you're a piggy too. You're still a Sweet Cheeks, it's just you're a piggy too. There was a silence while this nugget of information was digested. It was not The. End.

Sweet Cheeks: I'm not a piggy, I'm a boy.

Me: Well, when you eat four bananananananas, a chunk of cheese, seven bread sticks, a jam tart, an apple and three mini sausages, you kind of are.

Sweet Cheeks: Ok, but I'm not a piggy all the time, most of the time, I am a Sweet Cheeks.

I will concede this point. However, you've heard the phrase 'if it ain't nailed down...' Anyway.

Sweet Cheeks: I am a piggy sometimes, but sometimes I am a Sweet Cheeks. But, a seagull is a seagull and seagulls eat worms.

Have you also heard the phrase 'pick your battles'?

I'm back in two shakes with a little La-La, but in the meantime...

I'd like to enter this card at:

Oooh, such utter gorgeousness I have not seen! LOVE how this turned out, it certainly is striking!

On the subject of piggies - I agree, do choose your battles. I used to call Doodle Pants a turkey and get the same sort of response, lol! He "gets it" now, but that sort of thing seems to take a bit of time. :)
Cheers,
Banana :)

I do believe that this is one of the most beautiful cards I have ever seen. EVER. Your colouring is stunning and the grey/yellow combo works perfectly. As for that boy of yours, he sounds as bright as a button and sharp as a tack. Huge hugs xx

Lol, I love the the way kids think! This reminded me of a conversation I had with my eldest son when he was about 6; he asked me what the word 'why' meant!!

I had to come over from FB to see this STUNNING card again! I love it!

Errrr ... I would side with Sweet Cheeks in that seagulls eat worms, only because I've seen other birds do it. But I love your fabby grey colouring against the yellow, thank you so much for this challenge, out of my comfort zone but I loved it anyway :) ♥♥♥
