Morning Peeps :)
Monday morning means Cupcake time, and this week, lovely Donna has designed a rather fab Sketch for us to play with. Cool, isn't it? And seeing as we're being sponsored by Some Odd Girl, I thought I'd p...p...p...pick up a penguin (Sorry, I'll never get bored of that!) from the Winter Friends set.
Sweet Cheeks is currently coming out the other side of a particularly
rebellious few weeks. To be fair, he can't really help it. Get my back
up when you're telling me to do something I don't really want to do and
I'll go out of my way to be difficult. I can't remember if my Lawyer is
still on Retainer, so I'd best not mention Very Understanding Hubby at
this time. But it goes without saying, with two stubborn parents on
board, The Cheeks is bound to have a little Va Va Voom in his veins!
This weekend, I found myself on the end of a rather stern talking to, from The Cheeks Himself. Why? Because I don't share the driving. We take Very Understanding to and from work each day, and as we only slow down to 10mph, open a door and boot Very Understanding Hubby out, it's only natural that I would partake in the driving seat most of the time. (And don't move the mirrors either!) But, no. Sweet Cheeks is not happy with this arrangement and is insisting I share the car properly. Otherwise, Very Understanding Hubby won't want to play with me and be my friend anymore. I should insert some kind of marriage gag here, but I am flush with the success of someone listening to me... ;)

ReplyDeleteMy youngest was into everything when he was little but the worst of it was he had no fear, no fear of anyone or anything. You dont want to know how many times he would climb up to the top bunk of his brothers bed then jump across to the ceiling fan as he wanted swing on it....he was 3 years old at this point lol. I tell ya I used to worry something wicked cus on 1 hand he was the most loving child but he had such a cheeky/naughty side lol. My uncle told he would grow up to be just fine & he has....hes brilliant & I've none of the teenage stuff like I did with my eldest who was an angel when he was a kid. So maybe naughty & stubborn is good when they really little cus it gets it out their system before those dreaded teenage years hit lol.

Good morning - another fabulous card and that is a great sketch (one to go in my book I think!). Such a cute image perfectly coloured.
ReplyDeleteI don't have long - got to get SHMbO to school - but you are not alone in the world of stubborn children. I'm there too - I often get told I'm doing it wrong, I have the phrase 'you're a wrong 'un mummy' ringing in my ears!!
She stands, a hand on hip and waving the other hand around explaining her point about why I'm wrong and she's right - now I wonder what she's going to be like when she grows up. Oh and she's got one very easy going parent and one stubborn as a mule, don't like grey areas, I'm right and your wrong parent - guess which is which!!!!!

I didn't envisage penquins when I looked at this sketch! Actually haven't envisaged anything at all. Must need a little drinky poo instead. Don't get too carried away with those cards for u no wot!

ReplyDeleteThe last time I cleaned? Hmmmm, now lets see - I hoover every couple days, wash the windows every 6 months, dust the top shelves once a year and clean the lampshades once every 10 years! Or when I get visitors - whichever come first!
Off to collapse into bed after all this cleaning!!!!!!!
