Morning Peeps :)
Time for a new Sketch over at The Sweet Stop and it's a corker. I've used it several times already, you'll probably notice it over the next week or so.
As a rule, I'm not generally a fan of pre-coloured images, but I've had a bit of a time deficit this week, on top of being sick last week, and generally feeling like my creations were coming out a bit naff. So, on Wednesday evening, I found myself wanting to craft but not feeling like colouring. Reluctantly, I pulled out some Wee Stamp Toppers. I say reluctantly, as historically, I've never really loved something I've made with a topper, and as I say, I feel like I'd been a bit off colour with my crafting in the last week or so.
But, armed with a good Sketch, some new papers (new papers? What new papers?!) and a portion of choklit, I was cooking on gas. In the time I would have coloured and image, I made two cards and I like them both. Result!

ReplyDeleteHi Faye, FAB card! Love the papers and cute Wee image :-)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about using pre-coloured toppers ... I always feel that i'm cheating by not colouring the image lol! Saying that I do use them from time to time when i'm not in the mood for colouring.

Such gorgeousness Fluffie! I love the sketch and think I shall give it a go as well!I love all the details and sparkle you've added. And that little gal is adorable to boot.
ReplyDeleteSure hope you are feeling better soon girl! My best trick is fresh ginger sliced and boiled for a few minutes, then add lemon and honey - yummy and it helps fight off those nasty germs!
Take care,
Banana girl :)

ReplyDeleteFirst : listen Fluff, your creations are never naff ! They are always gorgeous and this one is no exception ! Second : I think this lack of self-confidence is due to a lack of chocolate... So you know what to do now !!! Hope you are having a lovely week-end Sweetie ! Hugs, blessings and love from Catherine
ReplyDeleteEven though you didn't color this image yourself, there's still the job of finding matching papers and a layout, so this work is definitely your own and I think the result truly looks great!
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness! Faye, this is sensational! I'm in total love with that DP and image! So precious and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLYnn
Absolutely adorable! I love that image and your coloring skills are amazing.
ReplyDeleteHi Faye - I know exactly what you mean about using pre-coloured toppers. I also feel a bit of a cheat, but sometimes you've just got to when you've no time.
ReplyDeleteIt's a gorgeous card - love your papers and that is a really cute image.
Don't tell me you're having a creative crisis? I wonder if you've caught Sarah-itis? The main symptom is a lack of creative confidence - secondary symptoms are bad temper and an increased intake of sugar related items.
It does pass if you have got it - but I can heartily recommend After Eight mints while crafting, I've found they help!!
