Morning Fluffers :)

Today is my day to post for My Mum's Craft Shop and I'm using some of my favourite things... pink, kraft and choklit card, cakes, Some Odd Girl and Die-Namics. Luuurverly!
Which, I'm afraid to say, is more than can be said for the crumble Sweet Cheeks and I made on Sunday. Apparently, I've not made a crumble since we moved, if I had, this would have happened sooner. But The Cheeks and I had a nice afternoon baking. In hindsight, I can't think why I decided to use demarara sugar instead of caster sugar in the crumble topping. I also can't think why tabbouleh would have been packed in with the sweet items when we moved. I'm very particular about packing, and there is no way, I would have packed tabbouleh in with the sweet suff. But I'm jumping ahead!
When I open a packet of something, I hate when you have messy flaps, the sticky things that are supplied on the packets never work, so I pretty much always decant into an old ice cream tub. (Because it's not like we don't have any of those in the house, is it?!) I rarely label, as it's always me that uses these things and my filing system, is, like me, erm, obsessive.
So, as I say, it's a mystery to me as to how tabbouleh came to be in the sweet cupboard, but it was, and because I know what everything is, it wasn't labelled and it found it's way into our crumble topping. Crunchy doesn't quite do the sensation justice...

ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous card - I like the die cut shapes you've used (another item for the shopping list, I think). I like a good crumble. I'm also partial to a bit of tabbouleh (if you're ever in London, Fakhreldine does amazing Lebanese food). Not sure I'd like them combined, but maybe you were having a Heston moment? xx

PS - I'm getting very countried I had to Google tabbouleh!! I can't make crumble - not my cup of tea, give me a good sponge cake and I'm in my idea of baking heaven. Or a choc cake or meringue, or profiteroles - ahhh I can feel a baking session is required.
You would get along so well with my sister and I, we are forever calling to tell one another "wanna hear the stupid thing I did today?" Your card is very sweet, I can't do CAS but this is lovely.
ReplyDeleteJust Darling Faye! Love the Pretty color combo, so Yummy, Pink & Brown together! 8-) And such Fab coloring on your Sweet image too! Love it! 8-)
ReplyDeleteHugs

Another fantastic card! Great layout and perfect image, oooh I love Cupcake(s)... BIG hugs Delphine xx
ReplyDeleteHelloee Faye! I love this card....the clean and simple finish, the pretty colours and that fab image! Its perfect! Wedgie xxx
ReplyDeleteA super card! Very on trend with your background and your image is beautifully coloured and super coordinated. I should perhaps take some responsibility for your crumble incident as I believe you were e-mailing me when Sweet Cheeks was rubbing the crumble so perhaps the tabbouleh got in while you weren't looking. I had to Google tabbouleh because I had no idea what is was and I still don't know but it sure doesn't sound like something you might put in a crumble!!! Hugs, Lesley
ReplyDeleteSo cute Fluff, and I love the wavy bands of colour! Hmm, sounds like a trip to the dentist after your tabbouleh crumble ;) Maybe it'll catch on? Shelly x
