Scrim!

Ooooh I had a job with this one! You know sometimes you get an idea for how you want your card to look and you set your mind to using certain things? Then it just doesn't come out like that?

Well, the new Challenge over at Paper Sundaes, which is sponsored by Michelle's, is Just Beachy/ Summertime. Brilliant. I knew just what stamp I wanted, which piece of paper I wanted and that I wanted to use some scrim. I've seen scrim popping up a lot lately, which of course means I must have it! Very Understanding Hubby had the day off work the other day, so we went to the DIY shop together (cheap date, me!) so he could show me where I needed to get this stuff; I hate asking. 'There!' He said, proudly pointing at a bucket of sloppy white stuff. 'SCRIM!' I said, not 'SKIM!' We have a difference of technique when it comes to DIY projects, his being text book, mine being cowboy, so I'll have to put this down to my accent!

Anyway, I digress. Stash neatly (ahem!) piled on my desk, I started to colour my image. Normally I'd colour this kind of image with a whoosh of watercolour, but this time, for some reason, was insisting on using Copics. Four images later, I threw my rattle out of the pram and used pencils instead. The Copics were just too vibrant for this. I think I need some new, softer colours! (Insert mischievous giggle here!)

Even after I jumped onto the Polychromo ship, this still didn't come together as I wanted. Still, I have about ninety metres of scrim left to play with. Every cloud and all that...
