Morning Fluffers!
Something has eaten my silver flip flops. I'd say they were my favourite silver flip flops, but they're so last season darlings! They've been tucked outside, just by the back door for the past few weeks because I was drying out some grass on them. No, I'm not talking that kind of grass. I'd been strimming.
Now several things are unusual about this. Firstly, there is a strict pink and blue job allocation in our house. Neighbourhood Surveillance, (AKA Twitching Operative) for example, falls firmly into the pink camp. (Wait till I tell you about the builder and the high visibility jacket.) Strimming and other gardening type jobs involving a close proximity with nature (yuck) falls into the blue. Unless I'm feeling generous. (Or the frequency of the previously mentioned blue job is not to my satisfaction.) The other odd thing about this event, is the fact I was wearing anything on my feet at all. Totally rock 'n' roll, me!
Anyway. I opened the curtains the other day, to see my nearly favourite silver flip flops strewn across the garden. It looked like someone had opened a bedroom window and hurled them out, they were that random. On closer inspection, something with really sharp teeth had partaken in a rather healthy snack, to the extent that you couldn't wear them at all, let alone pass them off as shabby chic. Well, if Sweet Cheeks thinks he can sleep in a tent out there, he can jog on! And next time I leave my flip flops outside, I'm gonna leave a bacon sarnie too...

ReplyDeleteMy sister was sat having a coffe a couple of weeks ago when her dog barked out of the window, when she looked there was a great big fox on her lawn!! These little blighters are getting everywhere these days. Be careful as those babies were bitten in the summer when a window was open. Look after SC.

ReplyDeleteyou'll need to buy 2 new pairs of flip flops, one nearly favourite to replace your silver ones, but another pair which will be your absolute favourites too ;)
Just make sure you don't do what I did and buy 2 left feet, so embarrassing having to wear flip-flips!

ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! Shame about the flip flops, someone obviously took a fancy to them! Great that you did the strimming though - I WOULD do ours, but I don't know how to turn the strimmer on - these things are sooo technical. When hubby tries to show me, I always remember that I've left something on the stove!!
ReplyDeleteReally pretty, girly card. Love the soft pink and pearls.
