Swamp Monster!

Morning Peeps :)

Isn't that a fab photo for an Inspiration Photo? Glad you like it, because it's what you get to play with over at La-La Land Crafts this week. Don't forget to add your creations to the Customer Gallery for a chance to win some of your very own La-La goodness. I enjoyed this Challenge, as, like I say, the photo is fab, but it made me use colours I wouldn't normally put together. You could even accuse me of making something with subtle colours!! I know... Shut the door!

Monday morning also means time for a Cupcake, and this week, Maarit has chosen Summer Scene. But I'm not going to tell you all about it here, as I want you to go over there, and see the gorg creations from The Cupcakes

On Saturday morning, Sweet Cheeks and I had some chores to do, but on the way back, because The Cheeks had been quite helpful, I decided to stop for an impromptu walk in the woods. Now it's important that you pay attention here, the walk in the woods was spur of the moment, which is why I left the house in flip flops. But being uber-efficient and borderline OCD, it was not a problem for Sweet Cheeks, as I had spare wellies in the boot. So, off we went for our walk.

Needless to say, Sweet Cheeks found every puddle in the woods and was quickly covered in mud. I don't have a problem with mud. Sweet Cheeks is a lad, and he's pretty outdoorsy, so mud, dirt, sand and grass stains feature heavily in my 'working week'. But, due to that borderline OCD thing I mentioned, mud and me, don't mix. Eeeuuw!

So, I'm walking along, when it occurs to me that Sweet Cheeks hasn't scampered past for a few minutes. I call. Nothing. Not a problem, I back track to the last area of heavy swamp and nettles 'we' passed. Ahhhhhhhh! This could be a problem.

Sweet Cheeks is right in the middle of the swamp, so deep in mud, you can't even see the top of his wellies, let alone the bottom of his shorts. Some Fluffie assistance is required. Remember, I'm in flip flops, so not really dressed for the occasion, but a Mum has to do what a Mum has to do, and if we want to get home for tea and biscuits, I'll have to take one for the team.

I edge towards the shallowest part of the swamp, and getting put off slightly by the cold, wet, mud making contact with both me, and my flip flops, promptly lose my footing, land on my a*^~, and slide the rest of the way into the swamp, at high speed, stopping not that far from The Cheeks. Oh well. In for a penny, in for a pound...

Oh dear, poor you falling over in the mud. I bet Sweet Cheeks found is amusing though. I think, when it comes to treating phobias, that is what they call flooding!

The doily, which makes me think of a crocheted table cloth, and the tea pot charm are wonderful details to this card with the tea drinking Marci. So sweet!

Sounds like sweet cheeks had a wonderful day Faye! And you're a great mum letting him be a muddy lad. I still find mud tracks at home, mine are 15 and 18!

The card is super!

Hi Faye, oooh fabulous picture - and even fabulouser card. Must admit it wouldn't be my first choice for a colour combo but it works wonderfully - shows what I know doesn't it!!!

Love the story as well - shame there weren't any pictures!!!

Sarah

PS - I tried to get here from my blog by clicking on your comment but it took to me to something about circles - and that's what I ended up doing (going in circles trying to get here - I googled you in the end!!). I is confused by so many things, but especially circles!!
